If

A recent trip to Disneyland inspired me to write this.

If life was like Disneyland...
I wouldn't ride the tea cups too often.
I would stop to watch the parades and enjoy the moment.
I would ride Space Mountain over and over because I love to
laugh and just need more reasons to do it.
I would go on Pirates at least three times a day because it gives
me a chance to dream.
I would make sure to go on Haunted Mansion at least once a day
because it teaches me there is a lighter side to dark times.
I would ride Dumbo often because everyone loves to fly.
I wouldn't forget to go on Small World because it reminds me
that while we're all different we're also all God's children and so,
remarkably the same.
I would ride the Matterhorn because I must remember that even
a good life has its share of Yeti's.
I would eat ice cream just because.
I would go on the Winnie the Pooh ride frequently because it's
good to feel the safety of childhood.
I would go on the Jungle Boat ride so I never forget to explore.
I would walk through Tarzan's Treehouse to feel the wind on my face.
I would walk through Toon Town once in a while to remind me I
need to be silly sometimes.
I would ride on Astro Blasters just because it's fun.
I would enjoy watching the people come and go and learn from those
who passed my way.
I would sing all the songs at the top of my voice because music is
good for the soul.
But most of all if life was like Disneyland I would never mind the
darkness of nighttime because I would learn to appreciate the things
I took for granted during the day and I would know the dawn of
another beautiful morning would be soon to follow.

Crazy Summer '08 - part one

I don't know if anybody has noticed but we've been a little busy this summer and haven't really had time to update the blog. Now that things are slowing down we're going to have a little more time to update on a regular basis.

Unfortunately we're going to bombard you with pictures in order to keep our family & friends updated as to our many adventures in the Summer '08.

We celebrated 4th of July at the beach in SoCal, had a couple of Birthday parties for Ezra's 1st birthday in LA and St George. Watched Manny's first game wearing Dodger Blue with our friends Mike & Jenn Wilcox. Took Ezra to the Aquarium in Las Vegas. Were able to travel with Ever when he went on his business trips. Spent time in Zion National Park, and watched Ever train for the Tour de St George.

Pics for Family....

We haven't posted on the blog in a while because we've been really busy and because we're a bit lazy. Anyway, this post is dedicated to Ever's family who hasn't seen Ezra for a few months and who continues to call us about updating the blog. We don't really have anything to post about so we'll just overwhelm you with pictures! :)

Going Back to Cali

Sorry it's taken me an eternity to post again! For some reason I go through spurts where I feel like I'm so busy that I can't keep up with everything. When that happens, I get WAY behind on the blog! Anyway, we had a great trip to California and really enjoyed the cabin trip and seeing our good friends the Radcliffe's, Brower's, Checketts' and Thompson's again. I had fun, despite the fact that I was extrememly sleep deprived and therefore a bit cranky! Ezra had fun playing with the Brower's little girl Audrey and when the Thompson's brought their new baby Audrey up too it was just a house full of dirty diapers and sweet baby smiles.

After the cabin we headed south to LA for the Dodgers Home Opener. Ever has been going with our friend Mike Wilcox for the past 4 years and has been looking forward to taking Ezra ever since we found out we were going to have a baby. This year I got to go too and Mike's brother 'Q' came along also. We ate at Phillipe's first (a sea of Dodger fans) and then were off to batting practice and the game! Dodger's won 5-0, no doubt because Ezra brought them good luck!

The next day we got to do something that I'd been looking forward to- Disneyland! It was a blast! Ever's mom got to go with us and witness Ezra's first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! He had a lot of fun watching all the kids and we of course had a lot of fun watching him. He got his very own pair of Mickey Ears and looked pretty darn cute in them if I do say so myself! We can't wait to go back!

The last day of our trip I go to see my best friend Lori and do some shopping at Babies R Us (still a favorite hang out) for Ezra and her soon-to-arrive bundle 'Guido.' Ever and I also got to take Ezra to Barnes and Noble, one of our other greatly missed hang outs, and he got some fun new books to take home; his favorite is now "Ten Little Tadpoles" with the pop-up frogs at the end!

We always enjoy California and hope to be back again soon! Enjoy the pictures, we took a ton and believe it or not, these are just a few!
